Theatre for Community: Image Theatre Dialogues - Advance Registration

Join Living Stages for a 6-week course on Theatre for Community: Image Theatre Dialogues!

In this class, we'll practice community-building theatre games to warm up our bodies and our creativity, connect with each other, and explore how movement, sound, and images can help us explore and share our stories. Using methods of Brazilian theatre artist and activist Augusto Boal (Theatre of the Oppressed) we'll develop image-based scenes to facilitate community dialogue about experiences and issues that are important to us.

This class is open to all community members-- no theatre experience necessary, and shy people welcome! Image Theatre is an excellent tool and experiential process for educators, students, working artists, activists, organizers, service and community workers, and those working in healing arts and mental health fields.

    Classes will be held Tuesdays 5:00-6:45: September 26 October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 *

(*possibility of rescheduling October 31st, based on input from participants)

Tuition for 6-week class is $165, with some financial assistance and payment arrangements available. Email tamara@livingstages.org to request information about financial assistance.
