    Unite Oregon is bringing back our monthly Last Friday events. The month of June we are celabrating PRIDE. Come join us for an evening panel with Resilient Connections members, a Unite Oregon program for Refugee/Immigrant Trans and Queer people.

    Our panelists will address the affects colonization and white supremacy have on migration, gender oppression and the continued genocide of gender queer, black and brown bodies in our present time.

    We are currently working on our End Profiling bill and have a few action items we need your support. Come find out which are best ways to volunteer, receive training on a task and meet community members. Volunteer needs range from administrative support, data entry, phonebanking and logistics.

    Free Showing & Discussion of 13th, a film about slavery and mass incarceration

    Free showing of Netflix original film 13th, March 30 at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30) at the offices of Unite Oregon, 700 N Killingsworth in Portland. It is sponsored by Justice Advocates and Unite Oregon.

    The film's title, 13th, refers to the 13th Amendment, Section 1, which reads:

    Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
