EARLY Portland- Comic Julie Goldman (does the Pacific Northwest)

    Funhouse Lounge

Can you believe that despite a couple of brief flirtations with Seattle, Julie Goldman (HBO, Logo, Bravo) has never done a tour of the Pacific Northwest? It’s high time to change that. We’re taking her all up and down the I-5 corridor, taking her to the best Northwest clubs and showing her all the views.

Julie Goldman's stand-up is delightfully in-your-face, honest and aggressively funny. Headlining throughout the US at clubs, colleges, festivals and events; she's been described as "unapologetically un-PC " by Go Magazine "a hilariously irreverent, butch lesbian" by Afterellen and Autostraddle writes, "watching someone be outraged has never been so fun"

Julie has been seen on everything from "Bravo's The People's Couch", co-hosting "Vanderpump Rules After Show", and on LOGO's "Big Gay Sketch Show and Skit Happens."

You can enjoy a little Julie with your politics, on the hit podcast "Dumb Gay Politics with Julie & Brandy" and make sure to check out her guest-starring role on the season premiere of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm!

Under the Influence: All Trumped Up
    Funhouse Lounge

Under the Influence: All Trumped Up (mature audiences)

In 2015 we created what was intended to be a workshop (9 performances over two weekends) of a new serial musical by Broadway lyricist Ernie Lijoi. However, we soon learned we had a successful show on our hands that would go on to win the 2015 Drammy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Actor in a Musical. So, we’ve “Trumped” it up, added some new faces, streamlined the designs, and we are proud to present Under the Influence: All Trumped Up.

An unapologetically feminist, irreverent musical that tackles the influences that surround all of us by examining our hero, Anita: Anita Drink, Anita Smoke, Anita Cup, whichever Anita she is that day. Whether it’s Juan Valdez pushing us caffeine, Barbie giving us body issues, some cartoon character pushing nicotine, or our local bartender sliding us another drink, we’re all under the influence of something… yes, even Jesus.

The OUTwright Theatre Festival - The mission of this Portland, OR festival is to celebrate contributions of the LGBTQ community to the art of theatre by staging both original and classic works thus creating an incubator of new theatre for and by the LGBTQ community.
