Clark County Latino Youth Leadership Conference

The Clark County Latino Youth Conference provides a venue for high school students to develop leadership skills and empowers youth to seek higher education or technical career opportunities on a college campus setting. This conference also brings together community leaders and sponsors who are dedicated to our youth's educational attainments.

Since 2011, CCLYC has been the largest youth leadership conference for students across southwest Washington. Each year nearly 350 students and staff attend leadership workshops, visit college/career exhibitors and listen to distinguished keynote speakers. CCLYC brings young people and community leaders together to create an event that inspires and motivates youth to seek higher achievement. Over the years, CCLYC has expanded to provide students an opportunity to explore key qualities of great leaders and to gain an insider’s perspective on some of today’s most exciting and important professions.

This year the conference theme will focus on environmental and social justice issues. It is imperative youth learn and understand how environmental and social justice issues affect the world and their communities, learn how to take action.

Portland Miracle Theater will perform " El Payaso" bilingual play of an American engineer worked to bring electricity to rural villages in Nicaragua. http://milagro.org/event/el-payaso-tour/

High schools MUST register to attend.
