    Open Up: A Benefit Supporting Outside In

    Join us for an intimate evening of expression and discussion supporting Outside In - a local non-profit offering vital resources to our homeless youth and other marginalized community members.

    Featuring musical artists:

    Qbala Nicole Morton Jenny Jahlee

    Enjoy spoken word poets, guest speakers, and a silent auction.

    Let's come together to open up about the issues facing our community and encourage all of us to get up and get involved!

    There is a suggested donation of $10 + pair of NEW socks.

    Suggested donation, please give what you can, but all are welcome and encouraged to attend. Socks are one of the most in-demand items during Portland's cold and wet winter.

    Music of the Revolution with Fernando, Trujillo and Tin Silver, benefit for El Programa Hispano

    Music of the Revolution is a benefit concert to raise money for El Programa Hispano, an organization that helps support undocumented Latino immigrants. www.elprograma.org. This organization assists Latino with housing, education, employment, elder services, tax services and domestic and sexual violence work. They serve 13,000 Latinos per year.

    We will be asking for a suggested donation of $10-20 and this event is 21 and over. No advance tickets will be sold. Door sales only.

    I was an illegal in this country for 12 years, so I know how difficult and stigmatizing it can be for these families so please help us spread the word about this event?

    Representation Day 2017

    Once a year we join with Represent.Us chapters across the country to educate the public on corruption issues. Come out and learn why the problem is so pervasive, how our democracy got so messed up, and most importantly what we can all do to make American democracy work for all of us! In addition to speakers, there will be educational activities, live music before and after, and great beer and food at the Laurelthirst Public House, our incredibly gracious hosts!

    So come out, bring your friends, get educated, and prepare to change our city and state in 2017!

    In communities across the country, we'll be delivering corruption report cards and showing that the people are not satisfied. The Swamp is not Drained, and the people are stepping up to do something about it.
