Tell Trump NO -- Jerusalem is NOT the Capital of Israel

Come rally for Palestinian Human Rights and to protest Donald Trump's move to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Rally Friday December 8 from 5 to 6 PM in front of the US Federal Building at SW 3rd and Madison.

No Wall No Ban No Embassy on Stolen Land

Donald Trump announced that the U.S. is officially recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and he is paving the way to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. No other nation has their embassy in Jerusalem. Aside from the U.S. and Israel, no other nations consider Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Palestinians have claim to that city as well. This move is outrageous and further allows for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the Zionization of Jerusalem. We will protest this move that is opposed internationally as being reckless and illegal.

Solidarity Action with Migrant Hunger Strikers in Tacoma!

Para el español por favor vea abajo.

Beginning Monday, April 10th immigrants being detained at the Northwest Detention Center (Tacoma, WA) have been on a hunger strike and partaking in work stoppage to protest in-human treatment in the for-profit Immigration prison.

750 detainees, close to half of the people detained in Tacoma, have joined the fight, and the resistance keeps on growing! But, ICE is ramping up their efforts to break the spirit of the hunger strikers by targeting, threatening, and retaliating against them.

One of the places they have threaten to relocate people to is right here in our state of Oregon at the NORCOR prison. We need to uplift the demands of the folks on strike and show that Oregon is in solidarity with them.

Join us this Wednesday at 4 PM to take a firm stand against for-profit immigration prison, an end to unjust deportations, and to stand with the people on Strike in Tacoma! Invite your friends!

Below are the Hunger Strike Demands: - Change the food menu - Lower commissary prices. - Improve hygiene, including the ability to wash clothes with soap and water. - Increase recreation time. - Bring program such as: school and programs to keep our heads occupied and avoid depression mentally. - Improve medical attention. - Increase wages for working detainees (waxing floors, painting, cleaning, cooking, laundry)* - Help speed up the legal process for detainees.

    • “Hunger strikers are asking for an increase in the $1 a day they currently receive for running all of the prison’s basic services. Some have even been denied the $1/day payment, and have been given a bag of chips in exchange for several nights of waxing the prison’s floors.”- LatinoRebels
