Gun Violence Forum (honoring those killed in Clackamas)

Join Moms Demand Action as we honor those lost in the Clackamas Town Center and Sandy Hook shootings at a lively, educational, and thorougly informational event on December 12th. Family members of those lost in the shootings as well as survivors of the Clackamas shooting will be in attendance and sitting on panels along side activists from Giffords (Gabbie Giffords' gun safety organizaiton), the Oregon Alliance for Gun Safety, Ceasefire Oregon, and Gun Owners for Responsible Ownership. Improv performers who are also survivors of gun violence will host and moderate our panels, connecting our humanity to the heavy and disquieting reality of gun violence.

Full details of panelists will be made available closer to the time but know that you do not want to miss this event. It will be the call to action after our Vigil which will be held on December 10.

This evening would be the perfect way to introduce neighbors and freinds to the real issue of gun violence as a public health and safety issue. It will be widely informative, give an overview of practical, national, and local legislative landscapes around gun violence, and even have some fun thrown in.

Put on your red shirt (or, even better, order a Moms Demand Action shirt to wear) and come join us for this amazing opportunity to connect and inform.

This event is sponsored by Moms Demand Action - OR Newtown Action Alliance

Thank you to the Siren Theater (yay for woman owned businesses) for their generous contribution of space for this event and to the many panelists who are offering the gift of their time.
