Thank you for working towards a better future with your HEART and TIME. This months gathering will be focused IDENTIFYING Social Justice partners in advocacy and support!!

This months gathering will be focused Planning and Support for the Annual Reclaim MLK March https://www.facebook.com/events/129680964370430/?ti=icl

Let’s discuss the event volunteers, sponsors, artists and family outreach

Building community based movements has to continue because we have the power to make change happen #TOGETHER

Community Safety and Organizing Safe Neighborhoods, Family Advocacy and Human Rights including Hate Crime Reporting has become the evolution of our organizing and we need all hands on deck. After a dozen or so bystander trainings the feedback is showing that there is a serious GAP in community engagement!!

This is a call out to organizations, groups, advocates, legal professionals, artists, archivist photographers, writers and people who want to become active advocates against racism and hate in their communities.

    Second Saturday Social Justice

2017 is proving to be the year of building women leadership in politics, communication and activism. Our organizers in partnership with local women activists and community members developed the beginning of these platforms in February with two great events one focused on political engagement and misogynoir titled "Ain't I A Woman" #IndivisibleWomenUnite at the @5th Avenue Cinemas! it was a packed house for the #pdxblackhistory month educational outreach!!

So much happened in March with the non indictment of an officer in the case of murdered youth #QuaniceHayes his funeral, burial, and the protest.
For activist, volunteers and organizers it's a very important time to build our communication and outreach strategy for this grieving family. We will also discuss ways to constructively answer questions about the current political events and clarify local myths about who #DontShootPDX is, represents and advocate for. Local media and city hall miscommunication about demonstrations and protests happening in solidarity movements is a safety issue and proves to be to the detriment of those seeking advocacy and support. Let's TALK About It and #DoSomething

After the meeting and brunch let's go to Portland Art Museum for a great event supported by #DontShootPDX

    Constructing Identity!!
