    D. Martin benefit at Queer an Open Mic w/ Jen Allen

Last years New Years resolution was to be more timely, which was decided in May and still hasn't happened, but that doesn't mean that Queer an Open Mic isn't happening. So come out tomorrow to Queer and sign up in person at 7 or just enjoy the show at 7:30, because this week is gonna be a lot of fun.

Jen Allen is back in town and you don't want to miss it. This awesome performer helped build the Portland comedy scene from the ground up and helped blow the bubble that keeps expanding, back in 2007. Her style is always personal and refreshing.

But that’s not all, D Martin Austin will be there and their comedy ingenuity represents where we are now. Sense D helps produce some of the best shows in town and is often a staple on our show, we are passing the hat and collecting donations this week benefit them. (That’s right D. had to buy two cars in under a year and deserves anything you can give.)

Hosted by Belinda Carroll and Galen Clark, this is a fun time for everyone.

Local Lounge connects easily to downtown with a four block walk to number 4 bus line off of Williams Ave, as well as inner South East via the number 6 which drops off just feet from the front door. Happy Hour runs tell 7:30, when the show starts so don't miss out.

    Ohhhhh, did I say 6-dollar-burger? 6-dollar-burger! Byyyeeeeee!

Queer, a Food Not Bombs PDX Benefit

Come out to Queer an Open Mic because this week benefits Food Not Bombs PDX. All December we are passing the hat at our awesome comedy mic/show mash up thing, and this week the donations help feed the people. Food Not Bombs is a unique organization that collects food donations (always vegan and usually organic), and through volunteers, they cook dinner for all in need because food is a right and not a privilege. While food, time, and elbow grease are the best ways to support the PDX branch, kitchen utensils and bike maintenance is essential to their operation and that is where the money will go, oh I must have for gotten to mention the attempt as much food transportation as possible via bike.

So if that hasn't gotten you feeling great, and excited, then our features will. This week is a classic line up at Queer. We have two awesome performers Rochelle Cote and Kevin Johnston who are always hilarious. If you haven't seen the comedy masters on our stage, then its time to catch them together. With the helpful production of Galen Clark and Belinda Carroll, sign ups for your comedy slot start in person at 7 with the show to follow at 7:30. Come out and feed the soul with laughter, and support the people that need more than just a good laugh, Food Not Bombs PDX.

Queer an Open Mic is at, the Local Lounge which connects easily to downtown with a four block walk to number 4 bus line off of Williams Ave, as well as inner South East via the number 6 which drops off just feet from the front door. Happy Hour runs tell 7:30, when the show starts so don't miss out. Come try this out. Three minute slots for first timers, thanks!
