News or Noise: Separating Fact from Fiction in Today's Media

Vancouver Community Library
901 C Street
Vancouver, WA 98660, US (map)

The way citizens get news has changed over the past 20 years, raising questions not only about how and where we get our news, but also about whether what we are exposed to is true and reliable. What sources are providing news? Which are dependable and trustworthy? What is real, and what is fake? How can I as a citizen navigate all of the options--with confidence?

Join us to hear our panel of media experts talk about today's media and the news, followed by small group discussions.

Forum @ the Library is made possible in cooperation with the Initiative for Public Deliberation, a project of Washington State University Vancouver.

Light refreshments provided by Friends of Vancouver Community Library.

Library events and programs are open to the public and provided at no cost.
