Description

Join us in welcoming our partner, The Village Coalition (VC), for an interactive evening of listening, learning, and being led by community members experiencing houselessness on the streets of Portland. The VC Speakers Bureau will take you on their journeys from housing vulnerability, through their uncertain lives of accumulating the burdens of displacement, and into the realities of living outside and unsheltered in Portland. As experts of their lived experiences, the VC Speakers Bureau will share their observations about the impacts of houselessness upon their connections to place and people, and their implications for community in the future.

No one turned away for lack of funds and a $10-$20 sliding scale optional donation is suggested to help cover costs. (Tasty) food will be provided!

This event is part of “Making a Place for Everyone: A Series of Community Conversations about Place, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability” a program partially funded by the Oregon Humanities.
