Description

This evening takes a global focus on the VBC theme of HOME and welcomes distinguished guests from Portland and Japan to explore what unites us, what excites us, and what we can do to strengthen the global network of placemakers in the effort to repair our urban ecologies and preserve our cultural traditions.

Presenters, facilitators, and musicians include:

• Atsuya Yoshida, PhD, Tokushima University, Tokushima, Japan

• Kaori Tsuji, co-producer of film, 'The Final Straw", Kobe, Japan

• Shintaro Kurama, Shinto Priest, Okayama, Japan

• Yumi Sato, community organizer, Tokyo, Japan

• Remi Fuji, Tokyo Urban Permaculture, Kamakura, Japan

• Yuri Baxter-Neil, Life Sampling, LLC, Portland, OR

• Yu Murakami, City Repair Project, Portland, OR

This event is by donation, no one turned away. Light meal provided also by donation. Funds support the City Repair Project and Jean's Farm VBC Project.
