Please join us for an art exhibit hosted by f&b cafe. This event features artwork by refugees currently living in refugee camps in Greece.

This event will support Love Without Borders - For Refugees In Need, an international non-profit grass roots organization that provides support services to refugees. This is a program that started in northern Greece that provides the space and supplies for refugees to express themselves and process the trauma in their lives through art.

Kayra Martinez, the founder, has been volunteering her time for the last two and a half years to run this program. She offers art classes to residents of refugee camps in her home nearby. Each piece is then sold in exhibitions such as this one at f&b cafe. She has exhibited the art all across the US and Europe.

This exhibit consists entirely of artwork created by refugees stranded in Greece. The paintings were produced by children, teens, and adult refugees. The artists are primarily from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan.

100% of proceeds from each sale are donated directly to the artist so that they can buy basic necessities while living in the camps (food, medicine, etc). Prices for the pieces range from $40-100+ depending on quality. Kayra supplies all of the art materials herself and through donations, so we are grateful when people buy art, but also when they donate a bit to help sustain this program!

The art is available for purchase and viewing all day. Volunteers will be available during the day for any questions. At 5:00pm we will have a special presentation by Kayra Martinez.
