Sentinel Hotel, 614 SW 11th
614 SW 11th Avenue
Portland, OR 97205, US (map)

Political scientist Melody Rose, President of Marylhurst University, will reflect on the lessons learned from the 2016 presidential election and the shifting electoral outcomes that followed, while projecting political shifts to come. Rose will discuss the idea of political “realignment,” the theory that once in a generation, one party will capitalize on polarizing issues and a changing demographic to bring political change, resulting in decades of electoral dominance.
