Description

ANSWERING THE CALL OF LOVE:

JOIN FAMILIES FOR PEACEFUL PROTEST and FIRST UNITARIAN CHURCH OF PORTLAND

Sunday, Sept 10th from 1:30-2:30 p.m. - Gather to affirm our shared values of social justice and peace. - Lift our voices against white supremacy and white nationalism. - Celebrate our shared humanity. - Sing and chant in support of LOVE and JUSTICE.

We align ourselves with the powerful message of Portland Stands United Against Hate as they rally and march against white nationalism at the Portland waterfront Sunday afternoon. We understand that many families are hesitant to join the larger crowd. We offer a family-focused alternative. This is a call for ALL community members.

We will provide a PEACEFUL and POWERFUL space for children and families to affirm our vision for justice, peace, and unity. We will lead by example. We will use our voices and join together as one community. We invite you to gather with us to oppose white supremacy and celebrate in the practice of love, justice, and collective strength.

JOIN US! It will be empowering.

LOCATION: SW Main between SW 12th & 13th ave. in front of First Unitarian Church (1211 SW Main St, Portland, OR 97205)
