Women Leading through Adversity, a panel discussion

Central Library, 801 SW 10th
801 SW 10th Ave
Portland, OR 97205, US (map)

Multnomah County Library and the U.S.-Japan Council present an afternoon of learning and leaning in.

Imagine starting over after losing everything. Female small business owners in Japan and the U.S. share their story of devastation and recovery, and their journey of overcoming adversity to become leaders in their communities.

The first panel are women entrepreneurs from Japan who survived the March 2011 horrific earthquake and tsunami in Japan and are now bringing economic prosperity to their tsunami-ravaged hometown. The second panel are local women who lived through hardship and, because of their strength and resiliency, are now prominent leaders in our community.
