July Community/Refugee Potluck Picnic & Bike Ride

This month, Butterfly Boxes and Catholic Charities of Oregon are partnering with UNA Portland and Refugee Center Online for our monthly community potluck. We'll be hosting a potluck picnic beginning at 5:30, with a family-friendly bike ride starting at 6:30.

We hope you'll bring your picnic blanket, a dish to share (no pork or alcohol, please), and your bike if you'd like to join the ride. We're asking more established community members to arrive ready to share a meal - with just a bit more food than you'd normally bring to a potluck.

Multnomah County Democrats Annual Picnic
Red Sunset Park

Our annual picnic/potluck is a fun time to mingle with elected officials, candidates and other Democrats. There will be no Central Committee in July as we gather at Red Sunset Park in Gresham.

We provide burgers & hotdogs (both meat & veggie), buns, condiments, soda and water.

You provide the potluck - so feel free to bring chips, salads, dips, desserts, veggie/fruit trays, etc. Please mark any containers you bring with your name.


This annual picnic takes the place of our July Central Committee meeting. No PCP appointments will be made in July.

Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility Summer Picnic
Laurelhurst Park

Join Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility for an evening potluck at Portland’s Laurelhurst Park to reflect on past advocacy, to celebrate our successes, and to look ahead at our work to create a more just, peaceful, and healthy world.

Laurelhurst Park (at the picnic tables just south of SE Ankeny St & Laurelhurst Place, southwest of the restrooms)

Please bring a potluck dish to share and your own plates/cups/flatware. There is no grill available on site. Alcohol is permitted at the park (wine and beer, no liquor). Feel free to get in touch with questions, and invite your friends and family (all are welcome, including kids).

This is a potluck style picnic, so please bring a dish to share if you are able. We will also be asking for donations to help us send our delegates to the DSA convention, so if you could spare a few dollars that would be great (but not required).

(There is also plenty of shade in this park.)

A great way to meet and greet other members of your Union. The BBQ is for members, though NO ONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY, and it's FREE!

So bring your family, friends, and neighbors and enjoy a day of music, games, food, and other awesome festivities! Come for part of the day or stay the whole time! Trimet Bus #14 stops at SE Foster & 75th Ave (five blocks north of the park), Bus #19 stops at SE Duke & 75th Ave (six blocks south), and Bus #72 stops at SE 82nd and Ramona (three blocks east). We will be in Mt. Scott Park at PICNIC SITE D, near SE 72nd and Reedway.

UFCW Local 555 Labor Day picnic: Portland/Vancouver/SW Washington

The region's largest Labor Day picnic (up to 20,000 people!) turn up each year for barbeque, games, carnival rides, music, and the chance to hear from local politicians. There will also be a kids' scavenger hunt and a blood drive challenge. Lunch will be served from 11:30 am - 4:00 pm and is free to members and their families. Ride bracelets will be available for member's children. Politicians will be taking the stage to speak at 1 pm. Please note that this year the shuttle train is free to all picnic attendees! This picnic is sponsored in conjunction with the Northwest Oregon Labor Council and AFL-CIO.
