Resist Trump Happy Hour – the O'Neill Pub Join the staff and supporters of the Working Families Party for a once-a-month community happy hour where we can come together to talk about the issues that matter to working families here in Oregon. Hosted on the last Tuesday of the month, locations announced each month. This time we will be in NE Portland at the the O'Neill Pub on Tuesday, April 25th from 5-7pm. There will be pub faire available, featured speakers, and a great opportunity to get to meet other Working Families Party supporters to decompress, plan, and organize. Come have a drink with us! We hope to see you there! |

Fair Work Week Ballot Campaign Launch (Oregon Working Families Party) through Oregon Working Families Party We are close to the finish line to pass the Fair Work Week Bill, and it's time to show how much workers and community members in Oregon can mobilize behind this campaign! We are having a volunteer signature collection launch this Saturday, June 3rd at 1:30 starting at the WFP office at 333 SE 2nd Ave in inner SE Portland. Lunch, Training, and Fair Work Week swag will be provided! Come volunteer with us and get FWW moving! Please RSVP to Ian : IJohnson@workingfamilies.org. Lunch and training begins at 1:30, Launch at 2:30. Parking is available but limited- carpooling encouraged! |

Oregon Working Families Party Gala! – The Secret Society, 116 NE Russell We will be celebrating our historic Fair Work Week win, 10 years of fusion voting in Oregon, and also the 10 year anniversary of the Oregon WFP all over again since last year's event got snowed out! Join us to celebrate Fair Work Week and get down on the dance floor! About pricing: This event is our biggest/only annual fundraiser, but we still want to keep it affordable for those in need. Measure 101 Phonebank with the WFP – Oregon AFL-CIO, 3645 SE 32nd Join the Oregon WFP and stand up for healthcare access for people across the state, including 400,000 children. Measure 101, getting voted on by January 23rd, would protect health care access for some of Oregon's most vulnerable citizens, including seniors, children, and people with disabilities. That is why the Oregon Working Families Party wants to make sure voters across the state know about this important measure on the ballot! Resistance Forums: Multnomah County Commissioner District 2 – Portsmouth Union Church, 4775 N Lombard The Democratic Socialist of America Portland Chapter, The Multnomah County Democrats Community Action Committee, Portland’s Resistance, and The Oregon Working Families Party will be co-hosting forums for four important races in the upcoming May elections. While May elections often see lower voter turnout, engagement, and coverage, they are in many cases even more important than November elections. Our organizations are unified in resistance of the federal administration and hope to hold events in that shared spirit. Our country is at a crossroads and Oregon voters need to know the vision that candidates have for our region’s future. Current candidates invited to this forum are:
